We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking School Kitchen Assistant to support a busy school catering team. You’ll help prepare and serve meals, keep the kitchen clean and organised, and make sure lunchtime runs smoothly for pupils and staff. You don’t need previous school experience to apply. If you have experience in catering, hospitality, kitchens or food service – or simply have the right attitude and are keen to learn – we’d be happy to hear from you. Your day-to-day role Helping with basic food preparation and getting meals ready for service. Serving meals to pupils and staff during lunchtime. Preparing counters, serving areas and dining spaces. Washing dishes, trays, utensils and kitchen equipment. Keeping kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas clean and hygienic. Helping to receive and store food deliveries correctly. Supporting stock rotation and general kitchen organisation. Working alongside cooks and other catering staff during busy services.
