School Kitchen Assistant - Swanley

Part-Time | Monday-Friday | 10:00am-2:30pm | ASAP Start

Academics Ltd are working with a welcoming school in Swanley who are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join their school catering team.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the smooth running of the school kitchen and help ensure pupils and staff receive a high standard of food and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals

• Supporting the kitchen team with general kitchen duties

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment

• Washing up and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic

• Assisting with stock and deliveries when required

• Following food hygiene, health & safety and safeguarding procedures

• Helping to provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or similar environment

• A reliable and hardworking attitude

• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety

• The ability to work well as part of a team

• Good communication skills

• Experience working within a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential

• An Enhanced DBS suitable for working in a school, or willingness to obtain one

Location: Swanley
Hours: 10:00am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday
Start: ASAP
Pay: From -14.50 per hour
Setting: School
DBS: Enhanced DBS required
