School Janitor

School Janitor Leven 18.14phASAP Start Temp Contract20 hours per week We are currently seeking a Janitor for work in a School in Leven. This is a temporary contract covering long term sickness so will be initially for one month but could extend to 3-6 months. The post is for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.The role also includes providing community cover every third weekend. Weekend hours vary depending on the community lets, and when weekend cover is required, the weekday hours are adjusted to ensure the total weekly hours remain at 20. Main duties will be:- Fire alarm testing - Opening/Locking up - Assisting cleaning team - Small planned maintenance tasks, including escorting contractors- Maintenance of daily staff attendance records/ signing in book - Preparing halls and rooms for a range of uses - Snow clearance and gritting - Ensuring graffiti is removed or covered as soon as possible - On call - emergency out of hours response maybe required Full training on duties will be given, however previous experience in Janitorial role or Building caretaker role is advantageous. Work is in a school so you must be able to pass a PVG Criminal record check before starting. We will put you through this.
