A welcoming school in Tonbridge is seeking a School Farm Technician to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an agricultural or animal care background to support the daily running of the school''s farm.

We are open to farm technicians, animal care professionals, or supply staff with relevant experience or a Cover Supervisor with strong agricultural knowledge would also be considered. While full days are preferred, flexible or supply arrangements can be accommodated.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily animal husbandry: feeding, watering, bedding, cleaning and health checks
• Maintaining animal care records and managing stock/feed orders
• Administering basic treatments and preventative care
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene, sanitation and waste disposal
• Supporting practical lessons and educational visits
• Upholding health & safety and animal welfare regulations
• Assisting with training/supervising volunteers where required

The Ideal Candidate

• Background in farming, agriculture, or animal care
• Hands-on experience working with animals
• Strong understanding of animal welfare and health & safety
• Reliable, proactive and confident supporting young people
