Salary: -15.37 to -16.78 p/hr depending on skills and experience

We are looking for a motivated and proactive-Employment Co-ordinator-to develop and lead an engaging work experience programme, improving employment opportunities for students and building strong partnerships with local employers.

This is a rewarding role where you will directly support young people to take their next steps into employment, training or further education.

The Role

You will lead on all aspects of work experience and employability, working closely with students, staff and external partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and coordinating a structured work experience programme
  • Building strong relationships with local employers and securing placements
  • Matching students to suitable placements and supporting them throughout
  • Monitoring student progress and conducting site visits and risk assessments
  • Embedding employability skills within the curriculum alongside education staff
  • Supporting progression routes including apprenticeships, internships and career pathways
  • Organising careers fairs, mock interviews and employer engagement events

About You

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised and passionate about supporting young people to succeed.

You will have:

  • Experience working with young people
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Experience in careers guidance or employment/placement coordination (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive and motivated approach

Successful applicants will be subject to pre-employment safeguarding checks including an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
