School Design Technician

Smile Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the B8 area, with an immediate start available.This is a fantastic opportunity for a practical, creative and organised individual with experience working within a school, college or design and technology environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the Design and Technology department, helping to ensure lessons run smoothly and students have access to the resources and equipment they need.The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing materials and equipment for lessons, maintaining workshops and practical areas, supporting teaching staff and ensuring that health and safety procedures are followed at all times.The role would suit someone with a background in Design Technology, Engineering, Product Design, Construction or a similar practical subject, who is confident working with a range of tools, machinery and materials.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive school team.
