School Cook - Shirebrook, NG20 15.00 per hour 8:30am - 1:30pmTradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced School Cook to work within a school in Shirebrook, NG20.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience who is confident preparing and serving nutritious meals within a busy school environment. You will play an important role in ensuring pupils receive high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.Responsibilities:Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for pupils and staffFollowing planned menus and accommodating allergies and dietary requirementsEnsuring food is prepared, stored and served safelyMaintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchenSupporting with stock management, deliveries and food rotationFollowing all relevant food safety, health and safety and safeguarding proceduresWorking closely with catering and school staff to ensure an efficient lunchtime serviceCleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces and food preparation areas as requiredRequirements:Previous experience working within a kitchen or catering environmentSchool, nursery, care or similar high-volume catering experience would be advantageousA good understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparationFood Hygiene/Food Safety qualification desirableAn understanding of allergies and special dietary requirementsReliable, organised and able to work efficiently ..... full job details .....
