Previous experience in a school or catering setting is desirable, and you''ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school''s kitchen.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook healthy, balanced meals for pupils.Plan menus that meet nutritional standards and cater for dietary requirements.Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.Monitor food stock levels and complete stock checks.Ensure all food is stored and prepared safely in line with Food Hygiene regulations.Carry out routine cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas.Report any equipment faults or health and safety concerns promptly.Work within agreed budgets and minimise food waste.Work closely with school staff to provide an efficient catering service.Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times.RequirementsPrevious experience as a Cook or Catering Assistant is essential, ideally ..... full job details .....
