Working pattern: 30 hours a week, Monday - Friday, term time only. 8.30am to 2.30pmThis is a wonderful opportunity to work in a great school serving meals for up to 200 pupils. You will work closely with the Chef Manager in preparing and serving food, assisting in placing orders. Your role as School Cook will be to:Prepare and cook fresh mealsProvide exceptional standards in all aspects of food serviceEnsure all meals are produced on time for the service requirementsPrepare food in accordance with school policies and procedures and relevant legislationTo prepare and clear the dining facilities as instructed by the Chef Manager in line with pre-agreed seating/serving plansEnsure that the kitchen, dining halls, equipment and utensils are all properly cleaned and correctly stored awayEnsure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and that any defects are reported promptly to the Chef manager or Head of Operations in their absenceMonitor and maintain appropriate stock levels.Receive and check deliveries.Ensure all appropriate temperature checks are carried out and recordedTo assist in washing up, clearing and cleaning of the kitchenTo ensure that a high standard of hygiene is maintained in the kitchenEnsure all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.The person:Essential - Level 2 Food Hygiene CertificateExperience of preparing and serving large volumes of mealsOutstanding customer service skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to relate well to others and ..... full job details .....
