Location: Grays Hours: 06 30 and 15 30 Pay: £12.71 per hour Job Type: Part-Time Job Description We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring classrooms, communal areas and other school facilities are cleaned to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas. Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors. Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately. Cleaning and sanitising surfaces and high-touch areas. Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely. Reporting any maintenance, health and safety or cleaning issues. Following school safeguarding, health and safety and cleaning procedures. Maintaining a professional and friendly approach while working around pupils and staff. Working Hours Morning: 06 30 Afternoon: 15 30 Candidates must be available for both shifts. Requirements Enhanced DBS required candidates must hold a valid Enhanced DBS. Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. Reliable, punctual and hardworking. Good attention to detail. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of the importance of safeguarding within a school environment.
