School Cleaner

Job Title: Cleaner - Part-Time
Location: Wirral
Salary: -13.20 per hour
Hours: 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Start Date: As soon as possible

• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting

• Clean and sanitise toilets, staff areas, and kitchen spaces

• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and responsibly

• Restock cleaning and janitorial supplies

• Report any maintenance or repair issues promptly

• Follow agreed cleaning schedules and routines

• Operate cleaning machinery where required

• Support occasional outdoor cleaning duties, including grit spreading during adverse weather

• Always adhere to health and safety and hygiene protocols

• Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning role

  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative

  • Strong communication skills and reliability

  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the service

  • Awareness of appropriate use of cleaning equipment and products

  • Ability to carry out the physical duties of the role with or without reasonable adjustment

• This role does not include direct line management responsibilities

• The role is based onsite and primarily indoors, with some outdoor duties as required

• The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as part of the pre-employment process

• All staff are expected to comply with policies on health and safety, safeguarding, and equality, and to maintain positive and professional relationships with staff, students, and visitors
