School Cleaners Required in Nottingham

Hours: 3:30PM to 5 PM (Hours may vary)

This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff alike. • Undertake cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, and polishing in designated classrooms, corridors, and communal areas.

• Clean and sanitize washrooms, toilets, and kitchen facilities to high hygiene standards.

• Safely handle, use, and store cleaning equipment and chemical products in compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish correctly and responsibly.

• Report any maintenance issues, repairs, or hazards immediately to the appropriate school personnel.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times.

• Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate by the Premises Manager or School Leadership in line with the needs of the service.

• Must have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

• Must be able to provide two professional references which cover the last 24 months of work/study periods.

• Previous cleaning or caretaker experience within a school or commercial setting is ideal, though a strong work ethic and attention to detail are most important.

• Competitive Pay: Salary is paid to scale weekly through PAYE.
