School Cleaner Plymouth Location: PlymouthHours: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm 6:00pmHours per week: 12.5 hoursStart date: ASAPContract: To be confirmedAbout the Role The Supply Register is currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to work at a school in Plymouth, starting as soon as possible.The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic school environment for pupils, staff and visitors.Key Responsibilities: Cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas. Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors. Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately. Cleaning surfaces and frequently touched areas. Following health and safety procedures and cleaning guidelines. Ensuring the school environment is clean and ready for the next school day. Requirements Previous cleaning experience is desirable. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently. Good attention to detail and a positive attitude. Able to follow instructions and health and safety procedures. An understanding of safeguarding and the importance of maintaining a safe environment in a school. Mandatory Vetting Requirements As this is a school-based role, all candidates must successfully complete the relevant pre-employment and safeguarding checks, including: Enhanced DBS check: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred; otherwise, candidates must be willing to obtain a new DBS check.
