School Caretaker Redbridge Part-Time (term time + some holiday hours) 13- 15 per hour (depending on experience)Asap startVeritas Education is partnering with a welcoming and well-maintained primary school in Redbridge seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their team on a part-time basis. This position plays an important role in keeping the school safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors alike.Key Responsibilities for School Caretaker include:Opening and/or securing the school premises in line with the shift schedulePerforming general maintenance, minor repairs, and basic DIY tasksMaintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of the school siteConducting routine health and safety checks and reporting any concernsAssisting with deliveries, moving furniture, and setting up classrooms or hallsCoordinating with external contractors when requiredHours of Work:Part-time role (approximately 15-20 hours per week)Flexible working pattern - may include early mornings or late afternoonsOccasional extra hours during school holidays for maintenance or deep cleaning tasksThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities work (preferably in a school or similar environment)Reliable, responsible, and able to work independentlyPractical DIY ability and good knowledge of health and safety practicesBe physically fit and able to carry out manual and maintenance tasksHolds or is willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS (on ..... full job details .....
