School Caretaker

My client is a reputable special needs school and is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional site operative/school care taker. Permanent 25-30 hours a week, 52-week contract. Your Role Will Include: Providing day-to-day site maintenance, caretaking and repair services to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. Carrying out repairs and minor improvements using practical or trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, decorating or electrical maintenance. Taking the initiative to identify and act on maintenance needs before they become problems whether it s a loose hinge, a leaking pipe, or a potential hazard. Using your trade experience (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, electrical, decorating) to carry out in-house improvements and repairs. Supporting the setup of learning spaces, movement of furniture and equipment, and preparation for events or lettings. Completing statutory and mandatory duties including fire alarm testing, water temperature logs, building compliance checks and secure locking procedures.
