School Caretaker Enhanced DBS on Update Service Location: Middleton Pay: £13.70 £13.92 per hour Hours: 10:00am 6:00pm during term time / 8:00am 4:00pm during school holidays Contract: Temporary / Ongoing Start Date: Immediate Keyholder: Yes Enhanced DBS on the Update Service ESSENTIAL Are you an experienced School Caretaker, Caretaker, Maintenance Operative or Facilities Assistant looking for an immediate opportunity? We are currently recruiting for a School Caretaker to join a busy school site. This is a varied, hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping the school safe, secure, clean and well maintained. IMPORTANT: You must hold a valid Enhanced DBS which is registered on the DBS Update Service. This is an essential requirement for the role. Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will not be considered. About the School Caretaker Role Working alongside the Site Manager and Business Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school premises. Your duties will include: General maintenance and minor repairs around the school site. Basic plumbing, including unblocking toilets and dealing with minor drainage issues. Drain clearing and general premises maintenance. Moving furniture, equipment and deliveries safely around the school. Putting up noticeboards, fixtures and fittings.
