School Caretaker Part Time Immediate Start School Setting We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join a busy school, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role that would suit an individual with maintenance, facilities, or caretaking experience who takes pride in keeping buildings and grounds well-maintained and operating efficiently. Key Responsibilities Opening and/or securing the school premises. Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs. Ensuring school buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and well-presented. Conducting routine health and safety checks. Responding to maintenance requests and site-related issues. Monitoring site security and reporting concerns. Assisting with room setups for meetings, events, and examinations. Liaising with contractors and overseeing site access where required. Supporting compliance with health and safety procedures. Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the school site. About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a caretaker, site assistant, maintenance, facilities, or similar role. Good practical maintenance and DIY skills. Knowledge of health and safety procedures. A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
