School Caretaker - LutonPermanent Position 21,000- 26,000 per annum, depending on hours and experienceA well-established secondary school in Luton is looking to appoint a reliable, hardworking and practical School Caretaker to join its dedicated premises team on a permanent basis.The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the school''s buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, secure, well-maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.The RoleAs a School Caretaker, your responsibilities will include:Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs across the school site.Ensuring buildings and grounds are kept clean, safe and well presented.Conducting regular premises checks and reporting any maintenance or safety issues.Opening and securing the school buildings as required.Monitoring heating, lighting, alarms and other site systems.Assisting with deliveries, contractors and visitors.Supporting basic grounds maintenance and outdoor upkeep.Responding promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies.Supporting the school''s health and safety procedures.Carrying out other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the school.About YouThe ideal candidate will be:Practical, reliable and hardworking.Confident undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs.Able to work independently and use their own initiative.Organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.Approachable and able to communicate well with staff, pupils and ..... full job details .....
