School Autism Support Worker

Teaching Assistant (Autism Base and Mainstream Support) Location: Yate area, South Gloucestershire Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time (flexibility may be considered) Start Date: September 2026 We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Yate area, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role involves supporting students within the school''s autism base, as well as helping in mainstream classrooms. Graduates have previously worked extremely well in this environment, especially those who are keen to develop their skills before stepping into teaching. You will play a key role in helping students access the curriculum, develop social and emotional skills, and build confidence in a supportive learning environment. The position is ideal for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
