Start September 2026 with a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming specialist SEN school set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We are seeking a highly organised, professional and confident School Administrator to provide essential administrative and secretarial support across the school.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy school environment and wants to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school. Previous school administration experience is highly desirable, although strong administrative experience within a professional setting will also be considered.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and school secretary support, ensuring information is accurately recorded, communicated and maintained. You will be a key point of contact for staff, parents, visitors and external professionals, requiring excellent spoken and written communication skills and a calm, professional approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive school administration and secretarial support
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team on day-to-day administration
- Arrange meetings, maintain diaries and coordinate appointments
- Attend meetings and produce accurate, professional minutes and records
- Prepare correspondence, reports, documents and other school communications
- Maintain accurate records, databases and confidential information
- Respond professionally to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
- Support staff, parents, visitors and external professionals
- Assist with general office administration and the smooth running of the school
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous school administration experience highly desirable
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Strong minute-taking, recording and attention-to-detail skills
- Highly organised with excellent time-management abilities
- Confident working with senior leaders and multiple priorities
- Professional, approachable and discreet
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
