Our schemes support older and vulnerable residents to live independently with dignity, and you’ll help make that happen by keeping the service safe, connected, and genuinely welcoming.You’ll be the familiar face people trust – the one who notices when something’s off, listens without judgment, and keeps everything ticking along behind the scenes with quiet confidence.Responsibilities
Health and Safety and Fire safety checks with comprehensive and auditable records; liaise effectively with internal departments as necessary.Safeguarding: identify concerns, take swift, appropriate action, and regularly monitor and report on the safety and wellbeing of customers, including signposting and referring to support services.Partnership working: liaise with care providers, GPs, social services, and families to keep services joined up.Be the "go-to" contact for residents, families, and professionals.Manage the building and estate to ensure health and safety, security, and cleanliness; record repairs, conduct fire alarms, pull cord checks, and maintain effective records.Effectively manage the termination of tenancies and liaise with the voids, lettings team, and contractors.Engage with customers to enable social and wellbeing activities; work with care, statutory, and voluntary agencies to ensure accessibility of the site.Manage low-level antisocial behaviour (ASB) cases in line with policies; provide clear guidance to customers reporting ASB.Assist customers to claim Housing Benefit and other welfare benefits to reduce rent arrears and ensure timely rent payments.Support colleagues and provide cover at Extra Care Schemes; collaborate with third-party onsite care providers.Meet KPI reporting requirements as outlined in the Support Contract set by Local Authority.Qualifications
Intermediate MS Office skills and willingness to learn new systems.Experience in a customer-facing role within care and/or support.Proven experience of working with vulnerable people and community groups.Confidence with health and safety basics.Sound working knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice frameworks.Desirable
Level 3 in Housing or Supported Housing.Health and Safety qualification.Knowledge of welfare benefits like Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.Application process
