Scheme Manager
A Newport-based housing association is looking for a-Scheme Manager-to oversee the day-to-day management of two residential schemes in-Abergavenny.
This is a highly resident-focused role, ideal for someone with experience in housing or scheme management who enjoys building positive relationships, supporting resident wellbeing and creating strong, connected communities.
You will provide a visible and approachable presence across the schemes, ensuring residents receive a high-quality housing management service. You will carry out regular wellbeing checks, respond appropriately to concerns and work closely with colleagues and external partners to promote resident engagement and community involvement.
This is-not a care role, but it does require a compassionate and professional approach, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries while supporting residents.
Key Responsibilities of a Scheme Manager:
- Manage the day-to-day housing management of two residential schemes in Abergavenny.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents and promote resident wellbeing.
- Carry out wellbeing checks and respond appropriately to any concerns.
- Maintain a visible, approachable and resident-focused presence.
- Organise activities, events and initiatives that encourage community engagement.
- Develop relationships with local organisations and community partners.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure schemes are safe, well-managed and welcoming.
- Provide occasional cover at other schemes for holidays and sickness.
- Travel between schemes as required.
- Previous experience in housing, scheme manager-or a similar resident-facing role.
- A good understanding of housing management and tenancy-related responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine commitment to resident wellbeing and delivering a positive customer experience.
- The confidence to organise activities and develop community partnerships.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently across multiple locations.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between schemes and other locations may be required.
- The ability and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- -29,139.77 per annum
- 35-hour working week
- 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract
