Scheme Manager

We are recruiting for a full-time temporary Scheme Manager in Rochdale for an initial 4 weeks with the potential to be extended until the end of the year.
This role is Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends included.

You''ll be joining a well-established housing organisation providing retirement and supported housing services across the Rochdale area.
The organisation is committed to delivering safe, welcoming and inclusive communities for older residents, with a strong focus on resident wellbeing, independence and community engagement.
An Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List on the Update Service is essential for this role.
An immediate start is required due to the nature of the vacancy.

Your new role
As a Scheme Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a retirement housing scheme, ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and well maintained.
You will carry out health and safety checks including fire alarm testing and emergency lighting inspections, support residents with tenancy-related matters, respond to low-level anti-social behaviour, and promote resident engagement through social activities and community involvement.
You will also work closely with external agencies, complete welfare checks and provide cover for nearby schemes when required.
What you''ll need to succeed
You will have previous experience with retirement housing, supported housing or services for older people and be confident managing a varied workload with competing priorities.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to build positive relationships with residents while maintaining professional boundaries.
An Enhanced DBS with Adult Barred List clearance is required for this role.
