Scheme Delivery Manager - Highways

Our client is seeking a Scheme Delivery Manager to join its highways maintenance team in the East of England. This permanent role will oversee the delivery of highway maintenance and improvement schemes, supporting the safe movement of people while ensuring projects are completed to high standards of safety, quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Managing delivery resources to ensure the successful completion of construction and highways maintenance schemesOverseeing health, safety, environmental and quality requirements in line with company and regulatory standardsWorking with the Programme Manager and client to establish annual and contractor plans, delivering against agreed commitmentsManaging the delivery phase of the schemes programme and allocating resources to maximise utilisation and maintain programme consistencyUndertaking design surveys and early contractor involvement meetings to agree work values and inform commercial target costsReviewing and agreeing applications for payment in line with commercial targetsCo-ordinating operational teams and supporting the effective delivery of carriageway, footway and wider highway improvement worksJob Requirements:Experience in managing construction scheme resources and operational delivery teamsExperience of structural maintenance schemes, including carriageway and footway resurfacing, surface dressing and associated treatmentsExperience as a new roads and street works supervisorSMSTS qualificationRelevant academic ..... full job details .....
