Scheduling Coordinator

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Scheduling Coordinator to join a busy aerospace engineering company based in Swansea.
This is a varied role responsible for coordinating logistics, dispatch and production scheduling, ensuring materials and finished products are delivered on time and customer requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly dispatches and shipments
• Manage and update production schedules to meet deadlines
• Arrange and monitor transport and freight, including export shipments
• Manage customer delivery and dispatch portals
• Coordinate deliveries to and from subcontractors
• Raise and manage purchase orders and goods received notes
• Arrange transportation of subcontracted work and materials
• Monitor freight and transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Operations, Customers and Subcontractors
• Support process improvements and create/update SOPs
• Assist with customer queries, complaints and general administration when required

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in Logistics, Scheduling, Planning or Coordination
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is advantageous
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external customers
• A proactive, can-do attitude
• Experience using SAP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Understanding of continuous and process improvement

Hours & Pay
Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm for the first 2 weeks
Following this, the successful candidate will move onto a 4 on, 4 off shift patterns, working:
6:00am – 6:00pm
£16.35 per hour on day shifts
£20.45 per hour once moved onto the 4 on, 4 off shift patterns
This is a temporary ongoing position, with immediate starts available for the successful candidate.
