About the Role

Pertemps Leeds is seeking a Scheduler to join a Scheduling team based in Knaresborough, HG5, on a full-time, temporary basis, paying £13.00 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience. This office-based role involves coordinating planned maintenance, minor works, and emergency callouts, ensuring all tasks are accurately assigned to the appropriate engineers using the internal system. You will prioritise work and allocate jobs based on engineer location, availability, and skill set. The position offers a temporary-to-permanent pathway, with a permanent contract available after 12 weeks, subject to performance. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 08:30 to 17:00, and Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.

Pertemps are recruiting for an organised and detail-focused Scheduler to join a busy Scheduling team in Knaresborough.
The role is office based within a busy Scheduling team and involves coordinating planned maintenance, small works and emergency callouts, ensuring all jobs are accurately scheduled and allocated to the appropriate engineers.
This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, with a permanent contract offered after 12 weeks subject to performance.
Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 08:30am – 4:30pm
What you’ll be doing:
  • Scheduling and prioritising work using the internal system
  • Allocating jobs based on engineer location, availability and skill set
  • Handling emergency callouts and working to SLA targets
  • Liaising with customers and dealing with incoming queries
  • Providing clear job information to engineers to help avoid repeat visits
  • Answering incoming calls and directing them appropriately
  • Updating systems and maintaining accurate records, including Excel
  • Supporting reception cover when needed
  • Ensuring completed works are processed through to invoicing
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in an office or customer service environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident telephone manner and good communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in
