      <description>Location: England | Salary: 10000-500000 Daily | Type: Contract | Scala Developer - 3 months+ - £300-380pd Outside IR35 - REMOTE UKWe are looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join and support a long-term technology programme within the UK Government.Key Skills andamp; ExperienceStrong commercial experience developing applications using Scala.Strong understanding of functional programming principles and modern software engineering practices.Proven experience building high-quality, scalable Back End services and distributed systems.Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or similar Scala ecosystems.Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps practices, and modern engineering methodologies.Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, with exposure to Azure or Google Cloud also beneficial.Ability to develop robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions in a commercial environment.Willingness and flexibility to provide occasional out-of-hours support when required.This temporary contract is outside IR35 and will be delivered on a statement-of-work basis.
