Senior Ruby on Rails Developer - Contract | Government Project - SC Cleared Location: UK (Remote/Hybrid - Occasional UK site visit required Rate: £450 - £500 per dayDuration: Initial 3 monthsStart: ASAP We are currently recruiting for a SC-Cleared Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join a high-profile government programme on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor who can hit the ground running within an established delivery team, contributing from day one in a fast-paced public sector environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including product, design, and delivery Contribute to best practices, including code reviews, TDD, and mentoring junior developers Ensure solutions align with GDS service standards, including security and accessibility requirements Integrate seamlessly into an existing agile team environment Key Skills andamp; Experience: Senior/Lead-level development experience Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails Solid experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) Proven public sector/government experience Strong understanding of GDS standards, including: Service standards Security principles Accessibility requirements Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively Collaborative mindset with experience working in established agile teams Comfortable supporting code ..... full job details .....
