Your new company
A client is seeking an experienced Pega Business Architect to support the delivery of Pega-based case management and workflow solutions. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, architects, developers and testing teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and translated into effective Pega solutions.
Your new role
As a Pega Business Architect, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, documenting requirements and helping shape the design of Pega applications. You will act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and are delivered successfully throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and analysis workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Understand business processes, pain points and target outcomes.
- Analyse and document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Translate business requirements into Pega case types, stages, workflows, personas and business rules.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements.
- Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritisation.
- Work closely with Pega architects and development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
- Contribute to solution design workshops and application design activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and simplification.
- Utilise Pega GenAI Blueprint where appropriate to support discovery, process modelling and application definition.
- Define personas, channels, data requirements and integration requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder walkthroughs and gain agreement on proposed solutions.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, user stories, designs and delivered functionality.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with testing teams on test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Support UAT, defect triage and business validation activities.
- Assist with implementation, business readiness and transition into production.
- Produce clear business and functional documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Essential skills and experience
- Strong experience working as a Business Analyst on Pega programmes.
- Good understanding of the Pega Platform and case management concepts.
- Experience defining case types, stages, business processes, personas and business rules.
- Strong experience writing user stories and detailed acceptance criteria.
- Experience in business process modelling and process improvement.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into implementable Pega solutions.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience working closely with Product Owners, architects, developers and testing teams.
- Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills with both business and technical audiences.
- Experience managing requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Pega Certified Business Architect (PCBA) certification.
- Active SC Clearance.
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience with Pega Constellation.
- Experience using Pega GenAI Blueprint.
- Understanding of Pega integrations, data objects and APIs.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile delivery tools.
- Knowledge of BPMN or other business process modelling techniques.
- Experience supporting application modernisation and migration from legacy platforms.
- Experience working within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Experience within the UK public sector or other highly regulated environments.
