Job Title: SC Cleared Senior Linux Engineer Location: Telford Duration: 6-9 months with possible extension Rate: Up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance processWe are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join a specialist team responsible for delivering both Managed Service and Project-based activities. This is a senior technical role supporting a complex Linux estate across live production, development, and test environments.The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing support, administration, and maintenance of SUSE and Red Hat Linux Servers, covering both physical and virtual infrastructure. In addition to operational support, the role will involve significant involvement in migration and transformation projects, including some out-of-hours activities where required.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support, administration, and maintenance for Linux server environments.Manage and support both SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Deliver operational support across live, development, and test environments.Perform incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis.Implement, test, and deploy infrastructure changes in accordance with change management processes.Support infrastructure migration and transformation programmes.Develop, maintain, and enhance UNIX/Linux Shell Scripts to automate operational tasks.Work closely with project ..... full job details .....
