CONTRACTOR MUST BE SC CLEARED (active) Role Title: Java Engineer (x2 seats) Location: Telford | (Min 40% in office/Hybrid working) Duration: 6 months contract MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA Description: Description and Location We are seeking experienced engineers who have experience of Data, API and Batch support and working within a Devops environment to join an existing team which is expanding.Design and implement robust, secure and performant data integration solutions (batch and/or near-Real Time). Build, operate and improve data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, curation) with monitoring, alerting and SLAs. Collaborate with product teams and client stakeholders to refine requirements and align decisions to NFRs (cost, performance, security). Support incident resolution and ensure service continuity within business hours. Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and contribute to Capgemini''s engineering communities of practice. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and work cross-functionally with engineers, analysts and business teams. Required Skills We are looking for candidates with a strong knowledge of engineering with the ability to operate at all stages of the delivery life cycle, with an interest in learning and cross-skilling. Must have skills: RabbitMQ Java/Microservices MongoDB/MySQL Kubernetes Grafana/Prometheus Gitlab Job Scheduling tooling (eg Berlin/JS7 Job Scheduler, TWS, Apache Airflow).
