About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Sawyer to join our team in a specialist manufacturing environment. Working as part of a two-person team, you will support the heat treatment of classified rotating shaft components and carry out material cutting and preparation activities.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, safety-focused industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely handle a range of materials using overhead cranes and forklift trucks (FLTs)
• Assist with furnace loading and unloading during heat treatment processes
• Operate a variety of saws to cut materials including Datalloy blooms, ingots, and shaft components
• Carry out Brinell hardness testing
• Follow QA procedures to ensure product traceability and identification
• Support general loading, unloading, and dispatch duties
• Record progress using a computer-based production system
• Maintain strict compliance with all health & safety standards

About You

• Experience in a steel/manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment (preferred)
• Strong focus on health, safety, and quality
• Ability to follow procedures accurately and work methodically
• Comfortable working as part of a small team
• Good level of reliability, timekeeping, and attendance

Please note this role also includes a bonus of up to 15% whicjh you can earn up to another -6,105 on top of the salary.
