The Role
As a Saw Operator, you''ll be responsible for cutting aluminium materials to customer specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and traceability throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating saw machinery to cut materials in line with work orders
- Cutting aluminium products to customer specifications
- Lifting, handling and loading materials safely as part of the production process
- Maintaining accurate records and material traceability
- Carrying out quality checks on finished products
- Reporting equipment issues to your line manager
- Working safely and maintaining high housekeeping standards
What We''re Looking For
Essential
- At least 1 year''s experience operating saw machinery
- Experience within a manufacturing, production, engineering or industrial environment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately
- Understanding the importance of quality and traceability
Desirable
- Experience cutting metal, timber, plastics or other materials
- Overhead crane licence
- Counterbalance forklift licence
Please note: Materials are loaded using overhead cranes, so previous overhead crane experience would be advantageous. Training can be provided for the right candidate.
