This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous workshop experience who is looking for a long-term position with excellent rates of pay, regular overtime, and outstanding employee benefits.Working within the machine shop, you will be responsible for cutting steel tube and bar stock to specification using automated band saws, ensuring all materials are prepared accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpreting engineering drawings and job specificationsSetting and operating automated band saw machineryCutting steel tube and rod to precise measurementsPerforming routine quality inspections to ensure accuracyUnloading incoming deliveries safelyUsing slings and overhead gantry cranes to move materialsOrganising and maintaining stock of raw materialsManaging stock rotation of tube and barMaintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environmentFollowing all health and safety proceduresSupporting the wider production team as requiredEssential RequirementsPrevious experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or workshop environmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood written and ..... full job details .....
