Satellite AIT EGSE Engineer Pushing the boundaries of space technology - one test rack at a time.+ 45 per hour Inside IR35Location: Stevenage Type: long term contract roleAbout the Role We''re looking for a Satellite AIT EGSE Engineer to take the reins on specifying, procuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the electrical test racks (EGSE) that bring spacecraft from blueprint to blast-off. You''ll be hands-on with validation, maintenance, and fault-finding, while also running the behind-the-scenes show - configuring, maintaining, and administering the computers on the EGSE network.If you''re as comfortable with a soldering iron as you are with a bash script, this is where your skills meet the stars.What You''ll Be DoingMaintaining and fault-finding on electronic and RF test racks.Administering computer systems and networks across Windows and Linux.Developing scripts and code to keep EGSE systems mission-ready.Supporting environmental and launch test campaigns.Preparing test specs, reviewing supplier data packs, and contributing to design and non-conformance reviews.What You''ll Bring (Essential)Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of electronic and RF test racks.Strong fault-finding skills down to board/component level.Experience with Windows/Linux network administration.Excellent documentation skills.Knowledge of interfaces such as MIL-1553, SpaceWire, CAN bus, RS232/422.Familiarity with ATE environments (PCI, VXI, PXI).Confident using lab test ..... full job details .....
