SAS Viya Engineer - Contract

SAS Viya Engineer Location: London - Hybrid workingStart date: ASAP We are seeking an experienced SAS Viya Engineer to support an ongoing migration to SAS Viya 4 within a major client environment in London. This is a hands-on role requiring strong, practical SAS Viya expertise, alongside advanced SAS development, cloud infrastructure and platform administration skills. You will be expected to work independently on SAS-related activities and contribute from the outset, with internal teams providing support on the organisation''s environment and configuration. Key Responsibilities Support the migration to SAS Viya 4, including deployment, configuration, integration and troubleshooting. Develop and optimise Base SAS programmes, SAS Macros and CAS workloads, supporting efficient in-memory and parallel data processing. Deploy and manage SAS Viya microservices on Kubernetes, using Helm and Linux within a cloud environment. Design and maintain ETL pipelines and connectivity with enterprise data sources, including Snowflake, PostgreSQL and Amazon S3. Integrate SAS Viya with Python using the SWAT package and with other applications through REST APIs. Automate infrastructure and platform activities using Terraform or Ansible, integrating changes into CI/CD pipelines. Monitor platform health and performance using Prometheus and Grafana, investigating issues and implementing improvements.
