SAP Finance Lead

A leading IT services and consulting organisation is expanding its SAP practice across the UK and Europe and is actively seeking an experienced

SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead

to join its growing team.This role is ideal for a hands-on, client-facing SAP Finance expert who enjoys working across the

full lifecycle of SAP programmes

— from initial pre-sales through to successful delivery. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with major clients across multiple industries, helping shape modern, value-driven SAP solutions.Key Responsibilities

Lead the

pre-sales and delivery

of large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations (including FI/CO, AP, AR, AA, GL)

Facilitate workshops with senior finance stakeholders to gather requirements and align solutions to business needs

Configure and test core S/4HANA Finance modules in collaboration with technical and integration teams

Contribute to solution design, functional specifications, and process mapping

Support pre-sales activities such as RFP responses, solution demos, and estimates

Participate in cutover planning, data validation, and post-go-live hypercare

Stay current with the latest SAP Finance innovations (e.g. Universal Journal, Fiori apps)

Mentor junior consultants and support internal knowledge-sharing initiatives

Required Skills and Experience

Extensive hands-on SAP Finance consulting experience, with

2–3 end-to-end S/4HANA implementations

Deep knowledge of core Finance modules (FI, CO, AP, AR, GL, AA) and enterprise R2R processes

Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps, embedded analytics, and standard S/4HANA reporting tools

Integration experience with MM, SD, or Project Systems is beneficial

Comfortable working in a matrix delivery model with exposure to both agile and traditional methodologies

Strong documentation and testing skills (solution design, test scripts, process flows)

Stakeholder and Soft Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior finance stakeholders

Clear, structured communicator with strong client-facing presence

Proactive, quality-focused, and capable of working independently or in a leadership capacity

Able to operate effectively in fast-paced consulting environments across multiple engagements

Tools and Methodologies

Working knowledge of

SAP Activate

(or ASAP)

Experience with tools such as

JIRA, Confluence, Signavio, or Solution Manager

is a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related discipline

SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting certification (highly desirable)

Additional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CPA are a plus
