SandT Supervisor / Construction Manager

Looking to speak to speak to experienced Signalling and Telecoms (SandT) Supervisor and Construction Manager on a freelance basis to lead on-site activities for upcoming station and line upgrade projects in the UK Role Purpose: As a crucial member of the project team, you will act as the on-site technical authority, supervising and delivering key packages of signalling and telecoms works. You will ensure that all technical, quality, and safety standards (Network Rail standards) are met. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision and Leadership: Lead on-site installation, testing, and commissioning activities, mentoring SandT Technicians, Installers, and Apprentices. Construction Management: Oversee contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements). SandT Focus: Plan and oversee works involving signaling equipment, points machines, control systems, and lineside fibre networks. Quality and Assurance: Inspect ongoing work, ensure compliance with design documents, and manage red-line mark-up drawings. Health and Safety: Maintain the highest safety standards, acting as Person in Charge (PIC/PICOP) when required. Progress Reporting: Liaise with the Project Manager, providing regular updates on project progress, budget compliance, and schedule. Essential Requirements: Experience: Proven experience as a Supervisor or Construction Manager within the railway signaling/telecoms sector.
