Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Package: -4,800 car allowance plus performance-related bonus/commission
Working pattern: Predominantly office-based, with potential for one day working from home once established

We are recruiting for an established, privately owned business operating across rail, engineering, automotive and technical markets.
The business is looking to appoint a hands-on leader to take responsibility for an established Derby-based team of approximately six to seven people.
This is a genuine opportunity to make an impact.
You will be responsible for creating commercial momentum, strengthening client relationships, improving individual performance and identifying new opportunities for growth.
The team operates within a specialist, target-driven environment, delivering solutions to clients across technical sectors.
We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced sales leaders from engineering, manufacturing, industrial, technical services, or other relevant B2B environments.
What matters is your ability to lead people, generate business, build relationships and deliver commercial results.
WHAT YOU''LL BE DOING
Leading, coaching and developing an established team of approximately six to seven people.
Creating a proactive, commercially focused and high-performing team environment.
Setting clear objectives, performance expectations and measurable targets.
Conducting regular one-to-ones, coaching sessions and performance reviews.
Supporting team members with client development, negotiations and commercial opportunities.
Identifying and developing new business across rail, engineering and technical markets.
Strengthening existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for account growth.
Leading from the front through direct client engagement and business development.
Monitoring team activity, pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance.
Addressing performance challenges constructively and supporting individual development.
Working closely with senior management to deliver growth objectives.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development as the team expands.

You will ideally demonstrate:
Proven experience leading, coaching or developing a sales-focused team.
A successful track record in business development and revenue growth.
The ability to create structure, accountability and consistent performance.
Strong client relationship and stakeholder-management skills.
Confidence setting targets and conducting performance conversations.
A hands-on approach to sales and new business development.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
The ability to motivate people while maintaining high standards.
Experience operating in a target-driven commercial environment.
A background within engineering, rail, manufacturing, automotive, industrial services, technical sales or specialist recruitment would be advantageous.
However, we are open to applications from strong B2B sales leaders in other sectors who can demonstrate relevant commercial success and transferable leadership experience.
We would also welcome applications from established senior sales professionals who have already taken responsibility for mentoring, coaching or developing colleagues and are ready to progress into a broader leadership position.
