Sales Support Administrator

We are working with a specialist electronics and precision engineering manufacturer with more than 40 years'' history. They supply components and engineered solutions to customers in defence, aerospace, space, rail and medical. They are looking for a Sales Support Administrator to join their small, motivated team onsite.
You will be the first contact for customers and new enquiries, working closely with the sales and engineering teams. You will make sure every enquiry reaches the right person, quotes go out and get followed up, and the CRM stays accurate. You don''t need a technical background. What matters is representing the business well, using your initiative and finding the right person for the answer. Customer experience is central to how this team works. As the role develops, there is scope to attend trade shows and take on more sales responsibility.
Your responsibilities as a Sales Support Administrator:
- Answering incoming calls and enquiries professionally, and directing them to the right team member
- Issuing quotes and product information from the price list once engineering has completed costings
- Chasing outstanding quotes and following up with customers to keep the sales process moving
- Taking the lead on the CRM, keeping customer records, enquiries and activity up to date
- Supporting light account management, acting as a consistent point of contact for customers
- Helping with general sales and office admin, and finding useful work to support the team during quieter periods
- Experience in a customer service, sales support or administration role
- A confident, polite telephone manner and good written communication
- Experience using a CRM system to manage customer records and enquiries
- A proactive, self-starting approach, with the initiative to act without being asked
- Reliable, honest and accountable, and someone who takes pride in their work
- A team player who wants to learn and to help the wider business succeed
What you can expect as a Sales Support Administrator:
- Salary of £28,000 - £35,000, depending on experience
- 33 days'' holiday including bank holidays
- Christmas shutdown of up to 5 working days
