Sales Manager

Our client is a leading OEM specialising in packaging machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Sales Manager.Excellent basic salary 55K - 60K + Car + Bonus (OTE 70K)This is a home based role and you will be targeting new business sales in Central and Southern UK. The Role:Reporting to the Sales Director you will be responsible for delivering effective sales business development activities to promote machinery sales throughout the UK. Duties will include but is not limited to the following;Develop and follow-up sales enquires and undertake client visitsSales and business development activities including prospecting, sales calls and marketing work as requiredLiaise with external client and internal technical teams to establish and specify machinery suitable for customer requirementsAttend product / trade exhibitions and eventsProvide regular sales activity reports to directorsCandidate:We are seeking candidates who have a proven track record in sales of packaging and /or other automated machinery. You must have experience in selling to the food and FMCG manufacturing sectors.Applicants will have previous sales / technical sales experience and good knowledge of packaging machinery.
