Technical Sales Manager, Power Generation
Location: Ipswich
Salary: -40,000 - -50,000 per year
We are recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join a well-established organisation in the power generation sector. This is a permanent, full-time role offering excellent career development, a competitive salary, and a supportive working environment.
Role Overview
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing existing accounts while driving new business opportunities across the marine and industrial power generation markets. You will work closely with clients to provide tailored technical solutions, from initial enquiry through to delivery, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify and win new business opportunities
- Prepare and present technical quotations and proposals
- Translate customer requirements into workable solutions
- Liaise with engineering, production, and testing teams
- Attend meetings in the UK and overseas as required
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions
- Provide regular reports on performance, risks, and opportunities
Requirements
- Proven sales experience in marine and/or industrial power generation
- Strong track record in business development and account management
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Technical knowledge of generator/engine sales (essential)
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence required
- Must have the current right to work in the UK
