Our client, who are one of the leading freight forwarding specialists in China, have recently opened their first UK office and are now in a position to recruit a Sales Executive to be based at offices in Chelmsford, Essex.

On Offer:

  • City centre location based nearby Chelmsford train and bus station
  • Salary up to £35K (experience dependant) and 5% Commission (Lifetime of Customer)
  • 20 Days Holiday plus bank holidays. Annual leave rising to 25 days.
  • 8:30am – 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch

Main Purpose of the Role:

An ambitious Salesperson to drive business growth, develop client relationships, and expand the companies market presence. This role requires a proactive sales approach, both in the office and in the field, engaging with potential and existing clients to provide top-tier logistics solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Executive:

  • Build, develop, and manage a client portfolio, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through lead generation, outreach, and in-person meetings.
  • Present our logistics services to potential clients, highlighting value and securing long-term contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed sales records, tracking performance and pipelines.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.

To Be Considered

  • Proven experience in sales, within logistics, transport, or a similar fast-paced environment - mainly in Sea (Import & Export), however experience in Air, Road, Warehousing all an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software for managing client data and tracking sales performance.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to market shifts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Strong numerical, literacy, and communication skills
