Overview

Our client, a leading global manufacturer of machinery and complete lines for beverage and food processing, filling, and packaging, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced sales leader with a proven track record of success. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Director will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and driving revenue growth. The Sales Director will work closely with the sales team to develop and implement the sales strategy, in alignment with the company''s overall business goals. The Sales Director will also be responsible for recruiting, hiring, and developing the sales team, as well as providing coaching and support to sales managers.

Role and Responsibilities

Devise and implement comprehensive, strategically cross-sectional targets for all products. Ensure further development of Sales for realisation of mid-term and long-term strategic goals and cost reduction. Support the business planning process, develop KPI''s for sales and include regular monitoring/review and where necessary develop improvement measures.

Develop and maintain relationships with key customers. Identify and conclude new business opportunities. Track and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities. Report on sales performance. Lead the Sales team including Technical Sales and LCS Sales teams. Provide guidance and support to your direct reports, perform regular 1:1, appraisals, and manage performance. Define and develop standard processes in Sales. Implementation and sustainable operating of standard systems (SAP, Salesforce, CRM, E-Guide) Supervise/represent Sales in cross-department projects. Support the development of the UK regional structure to ensure that our customer activities are managed efficiently and effectively, incorporating market development via the service structure. Collaborate with other departments to optimize the overall customer experience.

Maintain regular contact with our Parent Company to ensure the company''s philosophies and policies are upheld. Actively manage relationships with affiliated entities and third-party businesses and existing customer base. Represent the company at industry events and trade shows. Arrange Business Conferences, customer events and local marketing requirements. Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring adherence. Have full appreciation of current standards, new innovations, tools and processes. As a member of the Executive Team, actively contribute positively to the shaping of the subsidiary strategy and execution of the Company''s business objectives. Create and present regular updates to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders as required. Legal responsibilities of an Executive Director of the UK subsidiary. Ad hoc duties as and when required.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in engineering or another technical field.

5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role.

Background or experience in engineering.

Strong sales and negotiation skills.

Strong leaderships skills to promote team spirit and increase engagement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
