About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organised Sales & Operations Support Coordinator to join a friendly and growing business. This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in supporting customers, suppliers, and internal operations, ensuring orders and deliveries are managed efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and confident communicating with customers and suppliers on a daily basis. Previous experience within an office-based, customer service, order processing, logistics, or administrative environment would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Liaising with suppliers to place orders and monitor deliveries.
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with customers and transport providers.
- Tracking orders from receipt through to completion.
- Providing customers with updates on order progress and delivery schedules.
- Resolving issues relating to orders, deliveries, shortages, and customer enquiries.
- Maintaining accurate records and administration systems.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office.
- Assisting with general administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
- Undertaking occasional delivery driving as required by business needs.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Full manual UK driving licence.
- Aged 21 or over for company fleet insurance purposes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively.
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Desirable
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, logistics, operations support, order processing, or sales support.
- Experience working within a commercial, distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or trade-based environment.
- Industry experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Working Environment
This role requires regular communication with both customers and suppliers and would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering a high level of service. The position offers a broad range of responsibilities across administration, customer service, logistics coordination, and operational support.
