Sales Account Manager – Bury St Edmunds
£32,000 basic + quarterly bonus (OTE £40,000)
Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm)
Select are please to be representing a market-leading client, who are seeking a high-energy, commercially-minded Sales Account Manager.
This isn''t just a maintenance role; it’s a position designed for someone who thrives on winning new business just as much as they enjoy cementing long-term client partnerships.
The Role
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer service
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory
- Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, pricing, and presentations
- Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining strong profit margins
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support growth strategies
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts via CRM systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs and onboarding
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Track Record: You have a background in account management or sales with a history of smashing targets.
- Technical Edge: Experience in electrical, component-led, manufacturing, or technical sales is a major plus, but not essential.
- Relationship Experts: You possess the natural ability to connect with people and turn conversations into contracts.
- Commercial Acumen: You don’t just see clients; you see growth opportunities.
- Master Negotiator: You are confident when it comes to presenting, negotiating, and closing complex deals.
- Self-Starters: Highly organised and motivated to manage your own desk and workload effectively.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce experience advantageous)
