The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Sales Account Administrator to join a busy sales support team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment, supporting customers and internal teams to ensure the smooth processing of orders from enquiry through to delivery.
Working closely with Sales, Service, Finance and Logistics teams, you''ll play a key role in maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring sales operations run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the sales team to help achieve business objectives and deliver excellent customer service.
- Process customer orders accurately and manage order progress through CRM and ERP systems.
- Maintain customer records, sales opportunities and campaign information.
- Coordinate with internal departments to provide customers with delivery updates, estimated arrival times and tracking information.
- Assist with overdue payment follow-up and support after-sales customer satisfaction.
- Produce and distribute regular sales and order reports.
- Process returns, warranty claims, concessions and order amendments.
- Create and maintain customer accounts and complete supplier setup documentation.
- Prepare quotations and provide product lead times.
- Liaise with service teams to coordinate service-related orders.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, tenders and customer documentation.
- Work collaboratively with international colleagues and customers.
- Assist with commission administration and customer credit checks.
- Review customer purchase order terms and conditions.
- Undertake any other administrative duties required to support the sales function.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years'' experience in sales administration, customer service or office administration.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach.
- Confidence when dealing with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Experience using CRM and ERP systems (such as Salesforce or similar) would be advantageous.
- A-Level, NVQ or equivalent qualification.
