Safety Technician

We Staff are currently recruiting for a safety technician on behalf of a long-established UK Leder in safe-access and barrier solution.

The saftey technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, repair and modification of Fall Protection and Safe Access-and barrier access products at sites across the UK.

Key Responsibilites

-Install and comission Fall Protection and Safe Access proucts on site.

- Carry out repairs and modifications to existing systems where required.

- Inspect and rectify installd products, identifying any non-compliant systems.-

- Complete inspection tick sheets, plans and relevant site documentation.-

- Liase professionally with customers, clients and on-site personel.

- Maintain regular communiations with the Operations Department while working on site.

- Provide training and coaching to customers on the products that have been installed.

- Carry out PPE inspections where required.

- Work safely and professionally at height and follow all relevant health and safety- - - -procedures.

- Work as a team, generally alongside another technician, at sites throughout the UK.

Essential Requirements:

- Full UK Driving License-

- Valid CSCS card-

- Right to work in the UK

- Construction, installation or engineering/ site-based experience

- Experience working at height-

- Good health and safety awareness-

- Ability to read technicial drawings-

- Experience using power and hand tools safely-

- Good communication and customer-facing skills

- Relaible, punctual and professional approach-

- Minimum GCSE/O Level standard in numeracy and literacy-

Training:

Previous experience within the fall protection or safe access industry is advantageous but not essential, as full product training will be provided.

Working Hours & Travel

• Site inductions typically start between 7:30am and 8:00am.
• Travel to customer sites can be up to 2 hours each way, depending on location.
• As a result, operatives will typically set off between 5:30am and 6:30am to arrive on site in time for the induction.
• The role involves regular travel to customer sites throughout the UK.

Personal Qualities:

The successful candidate should be dedicated, personable, safety-concious and comfortable working on customer sites. They should have good communication skills, a professional manner and be willing to travel throughout the UK as required.
