Safety Engineer

Safety Engineer (Electrical/Electronic biased) is required for a long term contracct assignment based in Stevenage preferably - Bristol a possibilityOverview of department:The growing workload has now created an exciting opportunity for a Safety Specialist with passion and experience in the design and development of safety systems and their test equipment.Responsibilities:As a member of Electronic Engineering, your involvement will span the entire product life cycle, from bids to electronic design, prototyping, functional testing, sub-system level design and validation, transfer to production, and in service support. There will be a particular emphasis on analysis, from general hazard analyses and fault trees, to Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO) assessment.There will also be the opportunity to be involved in research and continuous improvement activities to enhance our capability for the future, supporting the manufacturing offset of designed equipment to our international partners, and the development of national and international standards.
