Safety Assurance Engineer - ETCS

Matchtech are working with a key client in Derby to support the recruitment of x2 Safety Assurance engineers to work on ETCS projects. These roles are 6 month initial contracts (with potential to extend) offering hybrid working and operating outside IR35. Role DefinitionThis exciting role offers an opportunity to provide technical leadership and innovation within compliance in the context of an ETCS on-board retrofit project. Working as part of a close-knit team, the Safety Assurance Engineer shall be the referent on safety andassurance for the UK specific application of a ETCS On-Board retrofit project. The Safety AssuranceEngineer will report to the Safety Assurance Manager. Key AccountabilitiesProduce and manage safety documentation Safety Management PlanSystem DefinitionProject Hazard RecordGASCSASCIHAFMECASupport approval process, to obtain APIS for each train classWork directly with the Safety Assurance Manager, the assessors (AsBo, ISA), the Design and Technical AuthoritySupport the UK ETCS On-board delivery team through the design, approval, test and commissioning activities for vehicle First in Class project MilestonesContributes to the constitution of the Technical FilePrior to track testing and commissioning: Reports from bodies (ISA, NTSN, NTRs)Compliance reports from design houses + internal (lab test reports)After commissioning Track test reportsSpecific Skills/TasksEssential:Knowledge and/or experience relating to train carried systems, in particular train ..... full job details .....
